One day, he receives an infected cerebrospinal fluid from his daughter, who had been studying the effect of a code virus on human beings. As he administers the fluid to a disoriented patient, he inadvertently kills the man. Two weeks later, Shin Doo's wife Mina (Lori Singer) finds the body and takes the case to a private investigator, Daniel Jackson (guest star Bill Murray).
